Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) is a policy that requires businesses to take responsibility for the collection and recycling of post-consumer packaging. In Vietnam, EPR is regulated under the 2020 Law on Environmental Protection and applies to a wide range of packaging materials, including glass.
In the glass packaging industry, EPR focuses on the responsibility of businesses to ensure the collection and recycling of glass bottles and jars after consumer use.
According to Notification No. 460/TB-BTNMT dated August 14, 2024, BJC Glass Vietnam (Malaya Vietnam Glass Limited) has been recognized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment as a glass packaging recycler.
Recognizing Its role in the green value chain, BJC Glass Vietnam is committed to optimizing its production capacity and processing systems to transform glass waste into valuable resources. This enables partners not only to fully comply with EPR requirements but also to elevate their brand value through sustainable, eco-friendly packaging solutions.
